how to TAB select into an <edit> and start at the top...?
When I use TAB to move into an <edit> widget in a gtkdialog GUI, I am always taken to the bottom of the text... this is annoying, especially when the text is long ....
.. So, how do I TAB into an <edit> box and automatically start with my text cursor at the top, on the first line, so I dont have to scroll up to the top (pressing UP or PAGE UP a lot)?
EDIT: Anyone have any ideas???

The edit widget always displays the top of text by default, so I'm not sure what your problem is. You ARE at the top already, just click to insert the text cursor (which - and this is the annoying part - is blinking away at the end of text, but in case of long texts not visible. Would be much better if the edit widget would start where the cursor is)sc0ttman wrote:how to TAB select into an <edit> and start at the top...?
Not my experience. Using TAB to put the focus on the edit widget doesn't take me to the bottom, consecutive keystrokes do.When I use TAB to move into an <edit> widget in a gtkdialog GUI, I am always taken to the bottom of the text.
Press Ctrl+Home once.so I dont have to scroll up to the top (pressing UP or PAGE UP a lot)?
