After a crash / boot frozen of my puppy precise 5.4.3 my touchpad is not fully working. I am missing now the vertical scrolling an the doubleclick.

Setup -> all -> change mouse and keyboard -> configure touchpad
-> "Couldn't find synaptics properties. no synaptics driver loaded?"

Boot and start options -> modules -> I have both synaptic* modules activate after the crash.

If you look in /root and click the 'eye' icon to reveal hidden files do you see a file called .flsynclient ? (note the dot at the beginning)

Maybe you could try moving that file into a different folder temporarily so that the system can't find it and see if it resets anything. I was thinking that after that file disappears you may be able to run flsynclient and get the file recreated correctly.

Just guessing...
