Nope...tried debian avidemux 2.4.3......got exactly the same crash...looks like a crappy gtk2 bug (again)...leaves oodles of options to fix that one lol...

mike

edit...wrong there is an option...qt...I can see why there is a migration over to it..

edit 2 ...yep that fixed it qt4 version stable....now wonder if that would work for browsers....... :D

I think it would be very good to get this going as a .pet. and thanks to plinej for doing the work to compile this needed app.

If you need to run Avidemux in a hurry for some work, and don't mind a puplet, I have one with it on Mediapup. However, that's pretty big at about 300 Mb, and it would be great to just be able to install the app alone. I'd use it myself

I took it to the next step and compiled the latest with almost all the features, 19 kinds of video and 11 kinds of audio, its around double the size of this one because it supports a lot formats.
well I read you guys wanted another version so, I spent a few hours, more like 5 or 6 and made this one :)

Old thread but I thought I would mention I did get a working 2.4.4 version in the end as I have it here and running but I don't remember where from...perhaps here, Been using it for years :) (2.5 had some odd extra features I never would use but either are good.)

version Windows d'Avidemux installed in my computer
La version 2.5.2 Lucid is te safest for Puppy, in my opinion
Racy : avidemux2_gtk opens after installing directfb and SDL see above
Sulu : replace installed version with Avidemux 2.5.5 lucid (pet) and modified audio parameters in stereo & Alsa.

Other version Avidemux 2.4.4b from Avidemux 2.4.4 and videoconvertaudio

Mu 3oct2010 "If you get errors about missing libraries during installation, please ignore them. The libraries are included, PetGet just does not see them due to the way they are included lateron.
I also attach a small utility I wrote, it uses ffmeg to convert the Audio part of a Video to PCM.
Like this you can convert videos, where Avidemux has no Audiocodec for, like araw/uraw, that often is used by cheap foto-cameras.
