WEB CAM which one I must buy ?

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

WEB CAM which one I must buy ?

Hi there. I got one problem, my friend mom need web cam to talk with relatives and want to get more from that skype free calls.

So I got in store and picture few web cams who be interesant for his mom and I would know is some one of this suported in puppy linux ?

I put on them PC Precise Puppy version 5.7.1

and cameras models

Logitech c170
Logitech c270
Canyon CNR-FWC120FH
Canyon CNR-WCAM820HD


Im ask for some guides how I can make one of this (or other) to work on my distro.

The gentleman here was able to use a similar model with no issues so I'm wondering if this might be the way to go. You can find the VX2000 models on Amazon. :wink:

However, I'll take another look to see if the ones you mentioned are compatible as well.

EDIT: I'm not seeing that much, just threads going back to 2008-2010. The solutions and software given in them probably would no longer apply.

OK. I find Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 in local shop will try if not work just return back :)

HI there. My friend just buy that logitech C270 web cam, and Im in blind spot how to make this device usable. (I know, I tell him same, not buy that M$ camera, but he not listen) so Im here back now :)

I try with this http://git.linuxtv.org/media_tree.git but I get warning message repo not exist.

Is any chance to this camera work on puppy ?

You are typing it wrong. The command has a colon in the middle.
