Greetings!
I'm helping a friend who is purchasing a new machine.
She will run Precise and M$ on the machine.
Her computer needs are mild, she's definitely not a gamer.
She is considering a Dell Inspiron 15RV-1333BL with an Intel Corei3-3227U processor.
I am unfamiliar with an Intel Corei3-3227U processor.
Will Precise Puppy 7.1 (or higher) run ok with this chip?
Or, is it better to stick with a Pentium or Celeron?
Thank you in advance for any insights.

Will Precise Puppy run ok on an Intell Corei3-3227U Chip?
Thanks Ted Dog for the quick reply,
I'm heading back into town tomorrow to help her pick out a machine.
This Dell Inspiron 15RV-1333BL comes with 6GB of RAM, 500GB Sata HDD, Windoze 8 (she'll probably put on Windoze 7 because of a proprietary program she uses in her work). She'll use 7 only for the one program. All other computer tasks will be done by Puppy.
You write:
Goodness why! Puppy will romp wildly around that much space?

So, you're thinking the 6GB of RAM may not be expandable?suggest check if memory is available.

HTH also check if UEFI CAN be turned off and Bios mode exists. Otherwise Fatdog64 will work but other puppies may have an issue with Newer boot methods thanks to win8 trying to lock down booting. I like running my puppies from RAM so more the better. And unlike past decades, memory sticks get much harder to find do to changes.

At first writing of this thread, I was unaware of the UEFI situation.
I've since researched and understand what is happening.
My friend found a last year's machine prior with Win7 built prior to Microsoft and the manufacturer and maybe the government imposing the bios lock on the machines.
The question of Will Precise Puppy run ok on an Intell Corei3-3227U? is now mute.
The situation with UEFI is not moot, however, and is troublesome.
