Sunflower is a small and highly customizable twin-panel file manager for Linux with support for plugins. It is intended to be an easy-to-use and powerful file manager that seamlessly integrates into the GNOME desktop environment (but not limited to).

The dependencies:
Python from devx_racy_5.5.sfs
PyGTK from http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=80464

Hello robwoj44; I`ve never talked to you I think. But you`re not new to Puppy.

I`ve been looking for exactly this, perhaps. I`ve looked at Xfe, pcManFM, and SpaceFM.
But they won`t run AppDir or RoxApp type packages by clicking on them like RoxFiler does.

# Could you tell me if Sunflower can be made to do this by plugin or other method?

# Also to display the AppDir dir. icon in the file browser would be nice too.

I`m not sure which of the links or items mentioned are needed.
If it can be useful, I`ll make a AppDir package from it.

Thanks. Terry B.

Yes, we did not have the occasion to talk. Yes, I'm in puppy from 6 years.
Sunflower is as the others. AppDir and RoxApp, I think are particular for ROX.
I do not know second filemanager operationg like ROX with AppDir.
But you can look inside AppDir and if you have python-vte istalled when you type on AppRun the applications starts (I checked that the same works with thunar)
To run Sunflower you need python from devx and PyGTK (pygtk-2.24.0-i486.pet, pygobject-2.21.3-i486.pet, py2cairo-1.10.0-i486.pet from dotpups.de/puppy5/racy). I'm in racy 5.5, so PyGTK is compiled against python 2.6.
Python-vte in optional.

Yeah, they say "fully customizable", but usually there`s very little that can be modded.

I`m talking click behaviors, dir. scans, icons shown in the panels, right-click menu, etc.
In an app like this, everything should be a plugin so it can be modded easily.
The Filer would come with a default set of plugins that give it it`s default behavior.

I`ll see if I can talk one of the app builders into making an SFS file out of it.
