i'm quite new to bootlace.i must get used 2 this.
but, syslinux is easier,i think.

bootlace.com is in the path of newer puppies.... it has a simplicity about it and it can run in linux or DOS which is handy.

But see my penquin problem on my usb stick....

Hi, I saw this post and was wondering if I can have this as a boot screen, using grub, or if I have to use grub4dos?

either works...

you add

gfxmenu /penquins

near the top of menu.lst
and pop the penquin file in the same place...example is root of partition but you can use a path to a folder eg /boot/penquins

Hmm, for some reason its not working. Heres my menu.lst (legacy grub puppy 5.2.8 frugal install).

Ok, guys thank you for helping me get this setup.

I fixed the problem with it not displaying. It's working beautifully now.

I had to use an updated method since I run ext4 partitions.

What worked for me, in case anyone else needs it, is this thread/turorial:

Ah ok the newer grub.. I forgot such things as I never use ext4.
