DeerPark Alpha 2 (Firefox) Installer

#1 Post by GuestToo »

DeerPark Alpha 2 (Firefox) Installer

i think this is the latest release of Firefox
an Alpha (experimental version, with a few bugs)
based on the 1.8 engine

i've been running it for a while, and apart from a few minor bugs, it seems to run well

copy install-deerpark-here from my-documents
to where you want to install DeerPark

after downloading (about 8 megs) and installing (about 21 megs), there should be a
DeerPark2 icon in my-roxapps
drag to the desktop if you want a shortcut
click to run
right click for Help or to Uninstall
or to run the Profile Manager

(you might want to set it to use a different profile if you have other versions of Firefox installed)

DeerPark seems to run a little faster than Firefox 1.0.6
there's a built in Sanitizer (clears history, cache etc)

DeerPark can interface directly with Tor (passing dns requests to Tor instead of your isp's dns servers) ... so you don't need to use Privoxy to prevent dns leaks
type about:config in the url box
type dns in the filter box
doubleclick network.proxy.socks_remote_dns to set it to true
and DeerPark is setup to work with Tor (you have to set the proxy port, of course ... Socks Host - 127.0.0.1 - 9050)

Damn, I just got myself setup with that nice splash-screen for Firefor106, the tinkering never, E V E R seems to stop, eh?

Thanks for that, will give it a try.

Cheers
