I noticed that if you turn the wireless off, it comes back on during the save file process, although I don't see any useful purpose to this.
For some reason it sometimes doesn't automatically start in some instances when booting up, for example if it had been shut down before. Although this isn't a problem, and I see the reasons why it does turn on when booting (most of the time anyway): if someone wants to have a connection fast, for example.

This IS a valid security complaint. And a nuisance of Puppy/derivitives.
Considering most Puppy derivitives are designed for older machines, WLAN should be OFF until needed.
Is there a code patch I could insert to have WLAN OFF at START-UP? Distro is Slacko-5.5XL.
