meeki,
Nice to see you back.
You're old links to your LHPUPrecord are all down. Do you still have it on hand?

@Edoc, I don't remember who helped me, but I seem to remember that I used Live AND Kirk made an updated version of Kino. I also used Kino, but seem to remember that it was slow, but may have worked for a family video I edited.. Kino is built-in to LightHouse. Have you tried it for your project?

I am having two troubles with kino:

1. I cannot get it to actually play the video - it flies though the "scenes" in an instant & I cannot find a way to slow it down to normal speed (really need a slow-motion mode).

2. I'm not getting any audio. Preferences defaults to /dev/dsp which may be incorrect. (Doesn't matter unless #1 is resolved.)

Any ideas, please?

I'm so supper excited atm with the lamp build.

Just got the make sfs backup of it working. So if you add stuff to your server like Plone or joomla..... any thing in the lamp dir it will now make a sfs of it for a user version. Kinda like making a derivative but for an sfs.

One command 'mlampbkup' and it then works almost like the Edit-sfs right click that Tazoc made. It should 85% of the code i used was from that Smile

It sits at 1.3GB total but 900megs of that is mysql Sad
thinking about making 2 ver.
1) apache, php, webmin at 400MB
2) LAMP at 1.3 Gigs

well now all i need is a place to put the bastard Smile ver 0.0.1 is ready.
making ver 0.0.2 with zip options for php Sad kinda forgot that in my build and you need it for things like owncloud etc.

This might be a little bit of a bug.

I loaded the QT64 sfs which is on the Lighthouse server.

Then I went to install qbittorrent from the PPM. I had it install all the dependencies except QT (since I had already loaded the sfs file.

When I went to run it, it failed. In the terminal I got a message that it was missing libboost (sorry, I didn't make note of the exact message).

The PPM said that boost was already installed. However I went ahead and installed it again and that fixed it.

Maybe just a missing link somewhere that could easily be corrected in the next version??

btw, excellent job on this puplet.

@Edoc, I have the same problem you share on a simple import and play in Kino.

I'll look thru my notes to see what tool I used earlier this year in LH64 to click-stitch family videos for an event I needed.

Dont really remember, but I do think I made notes somewhere.

There is OpenShot and LIve available which are much newer than the old Kino (which does not appear to be actively supported anymore).

It maybe time to retire this old packaging in favor of a newer solution which works on a wider variety of formats.

Here to help

I've got a server you're welcome to use.

There's a new version of Openshot under development right now that will completely blow away the old version. The new functionality it'll have will be amazing, including being able to offload rendering to another machine.
Because Jon's focusing on v2 development, I think work on v1.x is stalled except for minor bug fixes here and there.

Is the old version more functional than kino?

Will it work with LH-64-602b?

I am making no progress with kino.

I've never tried to use Kino. I grabbed the slackware package for Openshot v1.4.3 and it woudln't work, so it'll have to be compiled for it to work with LHP.

It's too late & I'm too tired to even think about compiling anything ... not that I've ever been successful doing so with anything else ... guess I'll wait and hope someone else needs it and is smart enough to compile it without breaking something.

I do have it.

Just tested it in LHPUP 6.02 and I was happy to see all my error msg I made in the program have paid off.

I have a screen check I used.
Code:
#grabs Displays and screens and outputs in DISPLAY=:x.x format For checking
glxinfo=`glxinfo | grep ^display |sed 's/\:/\ /g' | awk '{print $2 "." $4}'`

Issue is that its throwing an error.
Code:
bash-4.1# glxinfo | grep ^display |sed 's/\:/\ /g' | awk '{print $2 "." $4}'
glxinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

It's kinda funny now going back and looking at all that code I used to make it. Thinking .... wow that looks simple....or.......what was i thinking.

I'm working on a patch now.
I used the glxinfo to get display information if people have multiple monitors and want to record on another screen.

Welcome back Meeki! Very Happy

I've been offline for a week or so. Had a tooth extraction and implant done; feeling better now. I just wish I'd kept going to a dentist a few years ago even though I didn't have dental insurance. Embarassed Many of my teeth need work now and it is expensive, even with dental coverage, which seems to cover routine visits mostly.

David,
You might give this Pet a try--much better than Kino: Lighthouse Update -> Multimedia category -> Avidemux-2.5.6-x86_64-1gv.pet.

Or Avidemux SFS: http://www.lhpup.org/sfs/602-x86_64/

Thanks tazoc - downloaded the sfs and will reboot to test it.

It works much better than kino - have to experiment with editing & figure out sound processing tomorrow.

I went through the same thing (bunch of between-the-teeth cavities, etc) right when I started college then again (root canals, etc) about 10 years later.
Everything has been pretty stable since.

Thank you dancytron. A newer qBittorrent-3.0.10.sfs is available (for testing only) at:
http://www.lhpup.org/testing/L64-602/ When I've finished testing I'll move it to the main LH64 SFS repo.

PPM does assume that the Devx SFS is loaded, so that is why it thought boost was already installed. I don't know how to make PPM wiser in that regard. Confused Easy to detect the Devx, but PPM keeps all built-in pkg database records in one file, which doesn't indicate whether a pkg is in an extra SFS or the main file.
