Ixi, gaxi, kolmen (or similar, 1 2 3), that't all I know
I remember finland as veeery cold.
I was 17, when I hitchhiked to Torneo in winter.
It took half a year then, until I could take a warm bath without pain in my feet, that got damaged by the cold
But I really remember that trip with joy, the Tundra around Kautokeino, celebrating Sylvester with the Sameh people there was a real great experience
Ok, that was norway, but from there I traveled to Torneo then, and took the bus back home.
Greets to the countries of the beautiful northern lights, Mark

Hei!
Yes, MU, Kautokeino is in the north of Norway. I didn't know that you had been in Norway? Anyways, it's great you like the lands here in north, I think Germany is a good place, too
Have you visited other places in Norway? Our capital, Oslo, or Tromsø, also in the north?
And greetings to both Finland, Germany, and Australien (for making this great OS)
PS: Taavi, I think there are other Puppy-users from Suomi, at least Puppe. I haven't seen him much; I think he have posted two times, but he said he had a keybord from Finland.

Oh yes, I was in Tromsø one week.
I was heading north as fast as possible, because I wanted to see the nuurlyssen (polar lights).
I arrived there just knowing about "tyske Peer" who should work in the planetarium.
Some Sameh told me, I should visit him, he certainly would be glad to see another german.
When I walked through the streets with my backpack, a car stopped asking what I was looking for. I talked about Peer, and that I looked for a place to build my tent.
He (called Tom, if I remember well) could not help me and drove away, but 10 minutes later he came back, and invited me to stay in the appartement of his cousine, who was at holyday
He worked in a bar (maybe the only one in Tromsø ), as a doorkeeper.
His colegue Andreas invited me to go to Kautokeino with hm, as his uncle has the only hotel there.
So I never met tyske Peer, but stayed another week in Kautokeino, celebrating Sylvester in the hotel, where many Sameh met.
I was invited to eat rendeer-heart ragout, what was really excellent *mnjammnjam*
From there I had to go back to school, so I visited no ther places.
After 2 very cold nights I finally arrived in Torneo, where I took the bus via sweden back home then.
I really loved the atmosphere at the polar circle.
In germany, winters are often rainy, so real snow is great.
And in the darkness (I saw no sun for 2 weeks ) the "colour-dots" are impressioning, like the candles on mainstations, or the blue/red/yellow clothes of the Sameh with the silver-jewelry.
I also was astonished, that norway had a quite active Jazzrock-scene at that time (23 years ago now). Like this music still today.

Yes, the polar lights is a great sight, I think you can see the from Mo i Rana, and further north. I remember one time the lights where so powerfull, that you could see them from Denmark, and surely from Germany too!
BTW, did you know that "tyske Peer" means "Deutch Peer"?
I have been in Germany only for a day, but I'm not that old, I'm gonna go there again.
Ein, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn. See? I know a little Deutch! Ich bin Norwegen. Du bist Deutch.

yes, tyske Peer = deutscher Peter.
Mo i Rana, there I spent a night in my tent
Are you from the Bergen region then?
When you come to germany again, Hamburg will be on your way, as it is close to the danish border.
You can make a rest here if you like, I have a small room for guests. Very simple, but ok if you don't want to loose money for hotels.

Well, it may be some years to, but thanks for asking I'm not even 18.
No, I am a bit north of Bergen, more exactly in Bodø
BTW, I was in Flensburg, so I haven't seen much of Germany.

Virittelen vanhoihin pc:hin uutta elämää PuppyLinuxilla.

Täällä on yksi puppyn suomalainen käyttäjä.
Onneksi on tuo VESA-ajuri... Näiden ongelmien takia tänne rekisteröidyin ja oli ilo löytää täältä omaa kieltäni puhuvia ihmisolentoja. Mukava tavata.

And same in english...
Good afternoon Taavi!
Here is on finnish puppy-user.
I have Puppy 2.02 installed on a HP Compaq NX6125 laptop and it's working well, besides a keyboard broblem - some of the keys works as supposed, some works, but wrongly or doesn't work at all. For example at -mark must be done with copy/paste, cause puppy thinks that 'alt gr' is 'enter'... And I haven't got my graphigs card working again after I fooled it around somehow. Luckily there is that VESA-driver... These little broblems are the reason why I registered here and it was a pleasure to find someone speaking my language from here. Nice to meet you.

Heipsan,
Alkaa siinäkin suhteessa olla W.a edellä.
Englanninnan joskus ainakin osin.

I guess is not very polite to discuss here onlu with finnish, but you know it's much easier than in english. It's fine there appears puppy users that are able to discuss with this beautiful language (as all languages are, of course). MU has a good start to finnish speaking ...yksi, kaksi kolme and there you go. And many thanks for you making usefull dotpups and helping us beginners. And greetings to Norway too, Wolfen. Only times I've been in norway are visites in Lappland. I have driven once from Näätämö till Utsjoki and once I have biked from Karigasniemi to Kautokeino and Hetta (Enontekiö). I don't remember exatly if I visited Norway when I participate a journey to Torsby and it's region (Finnskog) in Sweden. I lived previously in Rautalampi, from where in 1600's thousands of people moved to Finnskog area hoping to get better living. I guess that this region reach to Norway also. And as you read this, you must understand why I like to write in finnish for a change.
Mukavaa, että suomipuppyilijoita ilmaantuu lisää. Tervetuloa mukaan.
Taavi
