What language or character format are you using? It doesn't show in my browser.

I may be wrong Flash but I believe it's Hindi that he's using. Not quite sure of the font's name however, sorry. Hmm... Try changing your browser's font to a font that's UTF-8 compliant, then change your browser to UTF-8-capable. ( Try either DejaVu Sans or Ubuntu, which is the latter that I use and I see his font just fine - along with Arabic, Japanese, Chinese (several formats), etc. )

I hope that maybe helped some Flash?

Amicalement/Cheers,

I only know of
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_fire#Bengal_fire wrote:Bengal fire
Bengal fire or Bengal light produces a steady, vivid, blue-colored light.[36] It is often made using combinations of potassium nitrate and copper compounds.
Installing fonts is somewhat difficult on Puppy since every binary-base distro may have their own font path .
In a pure standard Puppy bengal fonts likely are not included .

Code: Select all

grep -i font /var/log/Xorg.0.log
«Give me GUI or Death» -- I give you [[Xx]term[inal]] [[Cc]on[s][ole]] .
Macpup user since 2010 on full installations.

Update : Dl from here http://packages.ubuntu.com/de/precise/a ... s/download
clicked on it and installed : Nothing .

Remembered some forum post about */default/*' directory :

Code: Select all

find /usr -iname "*bengal*"
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bengali-fonts
/usr/share/doc/ttf-bengali-fonts
/usr/share/perl/5.14.2/unicore/lib/Blk/Bengali.pl
# rox /usr/share/fonts/
Used rox to link the usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bengali-fonts/* into /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF/* , restarted FF and voila :

I wrote the post in pure Bengali laguage, that's becoz it's(the post) based
on using bengali in puppy system wide, incl. writing with SCIM.

I'm sorry to harass you all.

I've already mentioned the path for individual TTF files there,

Code: Select all

/usr/share/fonts/default/TTF
and that's written in english.

note-the .deb package, that contains all bengali TTFs,do not place
them in specified folder..I mean which is effective in case of puppy.

Krishnamurti Naskar, would you please edit your first post, at least the subject line, so it is in English? Thank you. :)

I think Karl Godt account has been taken over by someone else, anyone else notice changes in his posts? Disgruntled offspring perhaps?

I think that alphabet has the best look of any in the world. Always wondered what my name would look like translated, is it a phonic language or image-graphs like Far East languages.

The wiki is open for everyone to update and add useful information.

To get started you just need an account from Raffy-
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/GetAnAccount

If you want to start adding pages I can add Bengali to the 'languagebar' to make it easy to flip between translations. Currently the languagebar only support the languages listed here-

Hello,

I've installed Bengali fonts, scim & Avro as mentioned above. I can see Bengali fonts in webpages.

I need to know how to switch between keyboards when you type English~Bengali?
