I need help setting up the Wireless LAN on an Everex StepNote NC1510.
PC specifications:
http://www.cnet.com/laptops/everex-step ... 13237.html
According to specifications the Wireless Controller is: Atheros AR5005G
When I retrieve the lspci I get for the WLAN controller this information:
I have tried the basic setup:-PCI Devices-

1- Removing the battery pack and pressing the power buttom for 30 secs
2- Probing the Wireless keystrokes Fn+F2 to turn ON|OFF the Wireless light. (Wireless light does turn on and turn off)
3- Given the possible controllers, I had ran the Wireless Wizards by loading modules for Atheros or Marvell. Modules are loaded but still not wireless interface detected
4- Running: ifconfig wlan0 up on Terminal, I get this reply: SIOCGIFFLAGS: no such device
5- Running: rfkill list on Terminal, I get this reply: rfkill: /dev/rfkill: no such file or directory
Puppy version: Precise Puppy 5.7.1
Frugal install on HDD
Only Puppy OS on HDD
I like this new version, more refined GUI - Graphic User Interface, impressed with the OS speed and I'm happy that I can play DVD movies on it that is definitively a plus. Good job!
Is there something am I missing? What else can I do to setup the wireless lan on the laptop?
