Fractal Images with JWildFire

#1 Post by R-S-H »

Hi.

I've discovered the JWildFire Fractal Explorer by an SFS request of the last saviour, LazY Puppy User from Thailand. This is really an exciting program which offers many options to create fractal images.

I do use this in all of my LazY Puppy Versions (Kernel from 2.6.33.2 to 3.2.x) and it works well, so, it should work in any Precise, Slacko or such Puppy derivatives also.

For download links (SFS files) and some more images, please have a look here.

I had made many hundreds of JWF but can't get an excellent one as I saw at that JWF website yet. :oops:
Many are boring because they were rendered with the same structure of fractal formula.

My people are somebody who will move to crowded city because I have promised them the refuge in the big UFO station.
Now I'd found at least 5 aliens who live in Thailand. They are from Triangular constellation.

Hello RSH.

Since it is a java program, you may wish to announce it here
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=78400,
along with the reference to the author's site?

Just a thought. Because good java programs are difficult to track down
with search engines, gcmartin started a centralized thread to make life
easier for Puppyists.

Thanks in advance.

Lieber Herr RSH

The good news is that JWF 1.0 has been released.

There are many improvements in this latest version, but no speed improvement. After installed Java just click start.sh the program will start automatically. So you don't have to make sfs file for it.
I read from comment which informed that JWF runs in Java 7.0 faster than Java 6.0. Perhaps you may interest to make a new Java.sfs file.
One bug I found is the load flame which doesn't show the thumbnail, we must use the new feature in the TAB, Flame browser before using the Load flame function.

I also found another excellent Fractware;

Enjoy

Lieber Herr RSH;
Thank you for the new version but now I had to quit JWildfire, because:
1. It's not suitable for PC with DDR I
2. The mutation is nothing but a database of many fractals. Any one can get the same as others get as they use the same mutation combination.

Cheer;

At the end of the database one will get this weird fractal image.
