which version

#1 Post by captainhastings »

Hello I have a aspireone za3 netbook. It has linux mint on at the moment but it is a bit cumbersome.
I did try the latest version of puppy the non pae one which loaded well but I couldnt get the video up from 640 despite trying various options.
Is there a custom version of puppy that might work ?

I think the video maybe intel

Any advice welcome :)

hey cap'n

have a look here: http://domsyard.com/acer-aspire-one/pup ... aspire-one

webpage is a little confusing but scroll down for the meaty bit

which non-pae version did you try?

there was a aspire one build "acer-puppy-410-27.iso " but having trouble locating a copy, somebody who has it may help out

also 'fluppy' was a fork of puppee which was a special build for the eeepc and could be worth a try and also dpup extrimo which is a puplet with extra drivers

try a couple of items from domsyard above and see if they start to bring her to life

good luck

:)

edit: also a dedicated thread here: http://208.109.22.214/puppy/viewtopic.p ... fafa91ce74

unfortunately the link for the build on page one is dead

configure touch pad in desktop or system (I can't remember for fluppy)

easy to do when you can get the cursor there!
