SOLVED mount /dev/sdb1 problem Lucid Puppy 525

#1 Post by eztuxer »

After more than a year of flawless usage of my 2 TB i Omega external HDD I get this annoying msg: See attached pic.

The disk is mounted anyway, but read only... :(

This only happens when mounted as /dev/sdb1.
When mounted as /sdc1, sdc1, etc... it mounts fine read-write.

Any clues on how to solve this issue ?

Last time it happened, I just re-installed the Pup and it worked fine for months until now.

Also it always adds an sr1 icon (virtual disk).

Thanks npierce
I removed the Downlaod (empty) Dir installed by some spooky glitch, and now it's fixed.
That was quick and easy.

Yes, it's nice when stuff is easily fixed. It sure beats re-installation. :)
