Avidemux 2.6.1 as SFS

#1 Post by Mysp »

Can somebody create Avidemux 2.6.1 as SFS? I need this version because of its support for .TS files.

Thank you very much in advance.

2.6 (experimental)
2.6 is a mostly rewritten core that deals with time, not frames. It can handle (slightly) damaged stream and varying frame rate without causing a/v sync errors or duplicating frames when it is not needed. The frame reordering is done by the decoder, so H.264 videos are handled like other formats. That also implies that a lot of the frame accuracy has been lost, and the video filter subsystem is much less powerful.
2.6 has also support for VDPAU, so that editing H.264 video is slighly faster.

Why not trying the Windows version if not available for Linux/Puppy?

AVIDemux 2.6.4 running in Wine in LazY Puppy!

Edit:

Seems to work. Playing Sneeky Linux LazY Puppy 5.2.8-4 Video! :)

Is the 2.6.4 pet still available? The link in the previous post does not work.

Thanks!

This is so typical for most of the apps. I`ve tried downloading, so many dead links.

666philb; Is the dead DropBox yours? If so connect with Smokey or someone and share it.!

phil; I tried 2 or 3 times last night and no go, but just now it worked.

I`ll try it out, and let you know.

# Idea: Make an SFS or RoxApp collection of A-V tools.
Handbrake
Avidemux
( good rippers )
( maybe a good burner )

Other groups of apps. go well together also: Office, Media players, Web, Utilities, etc.

SFS & Rox type apps. don`t install, easy add & remove, and don`t take Save space.
So make new ones whenever new tools come out, so the users have the latest tools.
Having them bundled reduces the union layer SFS count ( RoxApp it doesn`t matter ).

Avidemux 2.6.4 pet for Precise : Link works
RSH Lazy Puppy Boss has got an audio-video kit available. Pls check. Because I dont remember.
I point out all the Avidemux versions and where and how they work. Because it's a big (English word ?)
However Avidemux does its job, the harder is finding the good version....
.... Windows : Avidemux works.

Avidemux by phib666 pet'name is 2.6.4 but when running we get the 2.5.6 version...
Don't worry about 2.6 versions, 2.5 are enough ... in my opinion.
