@e_mattis :
Success! (See attached.) Smile

A few notes :
* what are the default codename and password for POS, so we can test it?
* java link leads to /mnt/home/java, which is not there ?
* openbox menu desn't recognize installed French language pack?
* osmo mislabeled as planner in wbar, whereas it's more properly a PIM
* we would need to add the real "planner" (project planner) provided in wary/racy.

But those are only details we can correct later, really.

Wow! Bravo!

---- Traduction ----
Réussite ! (Voir ci-joint.) Smile

Quelques remarques :

Ouf ! Bravo !

@e-mattis :
As an aside, sbp, as a title, is a bit abstract. Smile Would you know of a dog breed that's mostly used in business, or has a "merchant" instinct? Cool Laughing Razz Wink

Have fun!

Cool Laughing Razz Wink

Amusez-vous bien !

Thanks Musher,

Sorry, thought I provided them earlier Embarassed - the credentials for the POS are

Arrow username: admin. password: pointofsale

/mnt/home/java is where it is located on the frugal install I used to build it. I made sure the .pet file was with the iso. Question Not sure why it would work if /mnt/home is not there, but when I tested n another computer it worked!? Confused

Dont know why openbox would not recognize the Fr pack. Did nothing to openbox as far as modifications go. may be a bug in 5.2.8? Confused

As far as Osmo goes, yes, it would be better named PIM. The 'planner' from wary /racy would probably be a better choice to plan, but Osmo suited at the time...not great, but usable. I'll have to see if I can get the planner to replace osmo.

Small Business Pup is just what came to me - Idea popped in my head you can say. I don't really know of a breed that is associated with business in general. Some of the ones I think of associated in this country:

Doberman, Gernman shepard, rotweilder, etc = Security systems; Saint Bernard, dalmation, etc = rescue; bulldog, wolf, etc = transportation; hounds, retrivers, etc = hunting;collies, Autrailian shepard, etc = farming; Akita, Eskimo, etc = ice transport....

I am not sure about 'general business' though. I am open to suggestions for that one!

Give it good going over. I hope it meets your need(s) to some degree. I appreciate your feedback very much as this is one of the first attempts I have made at "remastering".

Thanks!

E

@e_mattis :
Hi.
Yikes! Please don't replace osmo with planner, just add planner ! In my opinion we need both.
I suppose the attached dog is a fine mascott if you're selling coffins at your POS... (No icon for dark humour ? Shame.) Razz Twisted Evil We have to search some more. Mind you, sbp is very distinguished Smile, just "abstract" ! (My opinion only, of course)

Yeah, I'll give your puplet a good rub.

Salut.

hehe - had you worried there a min huh?

Didn't replace Osmo, did add planner...great minds I guess LOL Very Happy

yes, I know my 'pup' is not in the absolute flow of what you guys are doing. As stated earlier, It was created with a specific genre in mind - small, one-shop business owner starting out. I do hope it might inspire though.

Anyway, the planner.pet can be found at http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/pet_packages-wary5/planner-0.14.5-hacked.pet. Attached is a screenshot of it incorporated into SBP for you. Let me know how it works for you!

Subject description: Database du paquet Koffice.

Bonne nuit everybody.

Mattis, you are welcome and thanks for yr interest in the matter.
I let you manage with Musher0.
I am not found of your Jpeg,
We have to make the difference, this product will be for workers, not business men.
Try to find a look like super Mario bros. Even to us, like a lihgthouse in the sea, to keep the aim !
product must be light, easy to use for non well educated people, and having no much time to have fun with computers. They are earning their life.

Wink

Hi, e_mattis.
I suppose you are brushing on the subject of the philosophy we should have for this distro, and the target users. I don't think we're that far apart.
The vision is developing and perhaps getting richer the more we work on it. Initially we envisioned tools to help the artisan and the professional working from home. (Actually it's pelo who got the ball rolling, searching for accessible programs for his brothers.)
From "small, one-shop business owner starting out" to "artisans and professionals working from home", the distance is not far, they're pretty much in the same situation. Somewhat synonynous in my view.

Salut, e_mattis.

Smile
