Consolidating jpg images into one file
Consolidating jpg images into one file
What is my best option to do this? I have 13 named jpg files that I would like to put into one file (retaining the names of the jpg files), for easier viewing. What is the best tool to use to do this?
I am using Puppy Linux 5.2.8
I host a radio show and the jpg files represent scanned LP liner notes. At the station we use XP Pro for the operating system. I would love to have all the jpgs in one file so that it is easier to access at the station and also at home on my Puppy driven laptop.

Having given this some thought, you might be better off with an image organizer. Unbeatable for searching..
There's actually a Linux version of XNView, but it can be a little clunky to use, interface-wise. (They also have a Linux version of XNView MP, but I haven't tried it.)
You can download the Linux version of XNView from its homepage, though not in a click-and-install form (the MP version may only be available from their forums, I don't remember), or you can try the Puppy .pet versions found elsewhere on this forum (use this page to search for them).
If you do already have Wine installed, however, the Windows version might actually indeed be a better bet - it's on a 1.9x version, as opposed to the Linux version's 1.7.0.

Having had to proof this for myself, I can say I'm pleased with the results. Outstanding granular control..
