Bulgarian language package

#1 Post by Crpt »

Hello Folks,
I've installed Puppy distros on old computers and laptops of my friends . But most of them don't know English well, so decided to translate basic things such as menus ,all the wizards,etc.. into Bulgarian.
For a past few days I've translated all menus, and submenus , install wizard, setup wizard and few more things.

Here it is my first bulgarian pack , it's not completed yet: http://www.speedyshare.com/bKU7H/langpa ... 130202.pet

Bulgarian translation project and language pack can be found here:

I managed to fix it . Just copied .po file to another directory and edited the problem line with Geany, than opened with Poedit again and everything was fine. OK I'll continue my translation . If there is another Bulgarians who want to contribute , please leave your message here .

You can also edit the first post to include a link to download the language pack and the latest versions of Puppy. :D

I will, but first I need to know how to properly edit the icons name
.. one more thing, how to change permanently the translation of Menu, shutdown and help buttons.

Thank you, rodin.s ! My bg pack is done and it's not complete translation so far , the link is in my first post. Btw one more question... I've tried the pack on 2 different machines with Puppy Precise 5.4.3 Frugal install , but didn't have the success with translation of the icons. Everything seems right with desk_strings ... any suggestions

I have put together a utility that I find very useful. It helps
translate mo files quickly, and it also checks the contents of
mo files quickly.

I have replaced the icons because of long text
/root/Choices/ROX-Filer/PuppyPin has the positions, you could put this file into your langpack.

I've noticed that, thank you for the suggestion. I'm working on a new version of the pack and this will be fixed .. and many more applications will be translated.
