sound problem after a few reboots

#1 Post by williamenck »

Puppy 5.2.9 sound works fine on my dell latitude d600 that uses the snd-intel8x0 module without configuring alsa, but only for a few reboots without getting corrupted. I tried the latest alsa package, running alsaconf but all with no avail. /etc/init.d/alsa10 start says "load_state:1625: No soundcards found"
any ideas

Wary 5.3 works fine for me on older Dell laptops:

700m
d610
d810

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
Full installs
