usually the devx of puppies doesn't contain the gfortran compiler. gfortran is needed by lots of nummeric software. Fortran Compiler for Puppy 4 series (gfortran 4.2.2) http://boxen.math.washington.edu/home/emil/MathSoftware/Puppy4/Octave/gfortran-4.2.2.pet Fortran compiler for Puppy 5 Lupu gfortran 4.4.3 (made from ubuntu package): http://boxen.math.washington.edu/home/emil/MathSoftware/Puppy5 Fortran compiler for puppy 5 Slacko gfortran 4.5.2 (made from slackware package): http://boxen.math.washington.edu/home/emil/MathSoftware/Puppy5-slacko/gfortran-4.5.2.pet Edited_time_total |

Hi emil, i 'd like to run a thermal computation software written in fortran 77 ( ... circa 1983...  ):
do you believe i could succeed using one of these fortran pet (i'm running dpup-exprimo so i would choose the one derived from ubuntu ..) Thanks for any answer Charlie |
