usually the devx of puppies doesn't contain the gfortran compiler.
gfortran is needed by lots of nummeric software.

Hi emil,
i 'd like to run a thermal computation software written in fortran 77 ( ... circa 1983... ):
do you believe i could succeed using one of these fortran pet (i'm running dpup-exprimo so i would choose the one derived from ubuntu ..)
Thanks for any answer

Well, I just can recommend you to try it. from gcc homepage

Code: Select all

The GFortran compiler is fully compliant with the Fortran 95 Standard and includes legacy F77 support.
