I've been trying to understand what you mean by "no save file...LazyPupy is and sfs puppy only".RSH wrote:Hello.
From now on the Function to use the LazY Puppy Easy Online Updater will be activated. It is strongly recommended to install the attached .pet file. Either installing when using a personal storage file or downloading and installing into a fresh and clean system (RAM, NO save file) (RECOMMENED!!!).
LazY Puppy will inform then automatically on available future Upgrades, Updates and Fixes - if connected to the internet, after the X-Desktop is loaded.
Otherwise use menu LazY Puppy, entry: LazY Puppy Easy Online Updater.

Note!
After installing this Upgrade, do not install any of my applications from the forum. These programs are older versions now!
Edit:
When remastering LazY Puppy make sure directory /root/Downloads/Updates is copied to /tmp/root/Downloads/. This is the download and also install directory of hte LazY Puppy Updates.
When using a save file, directory Updates is kept automatically.
How does the user maintain the configurations of his desktop and application without a save file? I've been using Puppy exclusively in Live mode (either booting from a LiveCD/DVD or from a usbflash install, with the 2fs files that hold my installed apps and configuration settings residing on my PC's hard drive.
How could I do that without a 2fs file? More importantly, how could I transition to Lazypup without losing all of the apps and their configurations that are currently saved in my 2fs file?
