How do you show jpeg thumbnails in Wary Linux

#1 Post by jacatone »

I know there's a way to show tiny jpg thumbnail images in PL and Wary, but can't remember how. Anyone know the answer? Thanks.

jacatone,
  • Open Rox-Filer,
Right-click on the directory in which you want the thumbnails,
Choose Display -->Show Thumbnails in the expanded menu
To have thumbnails show up in all applicable directories, right-click on the root directory in Rox-Filer ( / ), then follow the same procedure as outlined already.

An alternate way in ROX is to right-click on the hairy eyeball at the top of the ROX window.

Depending on your preferences, you might also want to purge the thumbnail cache in rox (it can add up over time like any cache).

Oddly enough, a few file managers like xfe don't have this issue..

r-click in rox window -> options

as I recall in the middle of the thumbnail prefs page/section

(don't use rox much for viewing thumbnails as I do liveCD multisession .. once while looking at the disc with gdmap there was a sizeable bit of one of the savedirs with cached thumbnails - backgrounds, icons etcetcetc)
