txz2pet
Convert .txz Slackware packages to .pet files

After you install this pet:
- You can click on any .txz file to convert it to a .pet file, when using ROX
- You'll also have a ROX right-click option for txz2pet, with txz files
- Then just follow the on screen instructions, to create the pet file how you like
- You could also copy '/usr/local/apps/txz2pet' to the desktop and drag-n-drop txz file onto it to convert them
- Or drag and drop txz files onto '/usr/bin/txz2pet' or '/usr/local/apps/txz2pet'

This pet includes:
- tar 1.22
- xzdec-lzmadec
- txz-fileroller
- ROX default run action
- ROX right click option

This pet requires:
- dir2pet

To remove txz2pet as the default run action, just change the command in this file:
/root/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/MIME-types/application_x-xz-compressed-tar

...Or just right-click on a txz file and choose 'Set Run Action'

Hope someone finds this useful, not sure if it's been done already!!

Hi sc0ttman,

I just tried your txz2pet in Slacko5371. It worked very nicely to convert txz's that I downloaded in PPM into .pets. Well done! :D

However, there is a problem I thought you might like to know about. The /usr/share/mime/globs that you have included has a flaw:
Line 558 should be:

Code: Select all

application/x-squashfs-image:*.sfs
not:

Code: Select all

application/sfs:*.sfs
Since it overwrites the default globs it disassociates .sfs files from their normal run actions.

Thought I'd let you know.

Thanks, J
