Subject description: Is it possible? ---> Yes, it is possible! Thanks again to stu90(91)

Hi.

How to change GTK and Openbox Themes by Script?

Is that possible?

Need this for a nice tool ---> Cool Design Switcher Cool <---

Makes me able to switch Desktop Design from just one GUI.

Switches:
- Wallpaper ---> by settings file Very Happy
- System Icon Set ---> by settings file Very Happy
- Tint2 Design ---> by settings file Very Happy
- System Sounds ---> by settings file Very Happy Cool

- GTK Theme ---> manually Crying or Very sad
- Openbox Theme ---> manually Crying or Very sad

It can have different files of Design Settings.

This is the LazY Puppy PhaseBlue System Design:

and then just switched to LazY Puppy PhaseBlack System Design

(sorry, both images do show one "at-unperfect-stage-programming-result-bug-icon" at the right side)

Just need to switch GTK and Openbox Themes by Script... Crying or Very sad

...would be very Cool

Thanks in advance for any help and hints

RSH

Hi RSH,
Yes you can change Openbox theme by script - if you have a look in this script it has the information you need for listing / switching Openbox themes. Cool
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=78415

for changing GTK themes i think you will need the application gtk-theme-switch2 - use it as command: gtk-theme-switch2 /path/to/gtk/theme

cheers.

Hi.

Found the gtk-theme-switch2 at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/i386/gtk-theme-switch/2.1.0-2!

Downloaded the gtk-theme-switch_2.1.0-2_i386.deb, Installed and works. Very Happy

So, the Design Switcher will work as intended. Very Happy Cool

EDIT:

Everything seems to work fine. Solved.
