Yes Puppy claimed SDL did instal but warned it was not showing in the menu. However nothing still happens when I click on setup.sh.
I trust Puppy does not object because I dowloaded all SDL and Linux QB64 and extracted all the files using Windows XP on another PC then copied them all into a folder in the root of the Hard usng a Flash Drive. I cannot access the Internet using Puppy in RAM or install Firefox.
The only reason why I am trying QB64 is because if have umpten QB files ready to convert to Linux.

The only thing to be wary of is the case of names.
Windows doesn't care and may change a file name to Upper Case (it displays them all as UC anyway by default) and may change them to UC during a copy)

This should not be happening. You should be able to do these things running Puppy.
What version of Puppy?
Running it how?
Live CD/DVD, frugal or full install?
Have you tried to setup internet access?

After I installed the SDL.pet, (linked above), then ran setup.sh, on lupu-528 nothing happened...until I received an error message that SDL needs libpng.so.3.
So, after doing | Code: | | ln -s /lib/libpng12.so.0.42.0 /lib/libpng.so.3 | , it compiled successfully & ran. But after compling several samples, see that Vovchik was spot on about the size of compiled binaries.
