Macpup-529 Improper shutdown |
|
Running Macpup-529 from a flash drive
Using jwm window manager and shutdown dropbox
If I click on shutdown or reboot they go to a prompt
If I type poweroff from that prompt to shutdown it loops back to the prompt
I end up have to hard shutdown to exit the program

phil66 when you set up your install , did you make a save file by choosing "save to file" or did you use the option to save to the whole partition the "save to sdc1" or something like that?

I am using save to sdc1 which is the flash drive
It saves and then goes to prompt rather than shutdown
From prompt I have to hard shutdown

There is a problem with that type of install with precise that has carried over into Macpup . I am not sure where the problem is but I don't have a fix. The only thing you can do is reinstall and use a save file. When you have a save file it will work fine . But without it precise acts like a layer in the system is missing or something .

Thanks for the help
I want to go to a larger flash drive so I will do it all at one time.
I would appreciate if you would keep the rain water run off at Big D as it floods Lake Livingston.
