Hiow to add custom Ubuntu repos for eeepc T101MT to Lupu528? Subject description: Want to convert to Puppy, but only if I can get touchscreen support. |
|
Hello all,
I am a fairly new linux user, 2-3 months using various ubuntu versions and backtrack. Have been using Natty on my ASUS eeepc touch T101MT and had to follow the info here
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/T101MT
to enable touchscreen support within natty.
I am more or less a total puppy n00b, and have only used it occasionally to save my butt when I make a big screw up on my primary os (I once broke the sudoers file on ubuntu precise, puppy saved me there) and have no idea on how to do these things within puppy.
Any help would be appreciated by me and those who in the future wish to use puppy on this laptop.

You'll have to edit DISTRO_COMPAT_REPOS under ~/.packages to add that repository.
However, beware - Natty isn't Lucid, it's a completely different Ubuntu version that's considerably newer.
