I copied files on a recently partitioned hard disk using puppy's Gparted (2 NTFS partitions; a primary boot NTFS and an extended with 1 logical NTFS)
I copied a folder with 2 files (norton ghost images) to the second partition.
when I booted using a win98 startup and started norton ghost It won't see the folders or the files I copied.
however I can only see the folders i created using the norton ghost itself not the folders created or the files copied using lucid puppy 5.2.8.
Do you have clue what could be wrong?
copied files are won't show in norton ghost
If I understand correctly, you are using Windows 98 to try and view files on a NTFS filesystem?eXistenZ Yesterday at 18:40 wrote:I copied a folder with 2 files (norton ghost images) to the second partition.

A standard Windows 98 system will not understand NTFS which was designed for NT based systems, not Windows 9x which is FAT/FAT32 based.
It appears there are options available to allow Win 9x to read NTFS I havent tried them.
