PeasyPort Network Scanner

#1 Post by rcrsn51 »

PeasyPort scans your network for open ports. The package contains two 32bit binary tools - pnscan and arp-scan.

PeasyPort is listed in the Network menu. To make a shortcut, drag /usr/share/applications/peasyport onto the desktop.

Your network consists of a variety of devices - computers, routers, LAN printers, NAS fileservers. "Normal" speed should work in general, but some devices like printers or wireless connections may need "Slow". If your network has only high-speed devices, try "Fast". Scanning Windows machines may require slower speeds.

Update: V2.2 now recognizes multiple networks.

PeasyPort v1.6 can now scan an IP range together with a list of ports. For example:

Code: Select all

IP 192.168.10-254 Port 80,139,631

PeasyPort v2.0 has a new MAC button. It identifies all the active hosts on your network by IP and MAC address.
