Puppy Clock - [outdated]
Go to Zigbert's pclock
The following application is similar to Zigbert's pclock.

The following application is similar to Zigbert's pclock.
SEE HERE
Puppy clock is a powerful alarm and timer and app launcher!!
It combines a GUI with pschedule (a CRON program).
Pclock was written originally by Zigbert, but then I made some
improvements and localized it so that
foreign languages can use it.
There are several small improvements in Puppy Clock so that
foreign localization works better in this version rather than
pclock.
But if you're happy with pclock currently then
there is no need to change.

There is already French and German translations.

No thats not the problem.don570 wrote:The two buttons (12 and 24 hour ) are used by
Zigbert to reset the timer and countdown, I believe.
I suggested to Zigbert that he combine the two buttons
into one but that was a dumb idea
...but I'll look at the problem again.
Thanks Jasper -that fixed it . Without it in 5.3 you cant get 12 hour clock.
there is a line close to the bottom of the file /root/.jvmrc-tray:To show AM/PM, you should you change this to:
Sigmund
Code: Select all
<Clock format="%H:%M">minixcal</Clock>
Code: Select all
<Clock>minixcal</Clock>

I noticed something odd in testing Puppy Clock.
It has a feature that few seem to know about ,
namely it will launch an application after a countdown.
However it then launches the same app over and over.
This may be undesirable, but you can stop this action by going
to the opening page and clicking on the 12/24 button.
Just quitting Puppy Clock ( or pclock)
doesn't stop the launching action.

font size
I noticed that some recent Puppies didn't show the clock
numerals properly. The font size was too big.
I changed the formula that Zigbert derived
to make the font size slightly smaller.
That appears to have solved the problem,
so it should work on most Puppies.

new version of puppy clock 0.3.8
new version of puppy clock 0.3.8
I made three improvements
1) It is now compatible to Saluki however the clock in
window is too small
2) I put a space after the word 'Note:' to make it nicer
3) The app uses default audio player if pmusic doesn't exist
Note : I have found a bug that might occur with some versions of pmusic
Some versions of pmusic will play the music file in a loop
in the background. If this occurs the best way to shut it
off is to type in terminal
In the Enlightenment window manager that pemasu's Exprimo uses
it is especially hard to stop puppy clock or pclock.

I noticed that yesterday while rewriting some codeStopwatch function is missing a stop icon.
The countdown acts in a funny way but it works.
To test Countdown --> put 'xmessage Hello'
into field
you can turn off the countdown by quitting puppy clock
or by clicking on alarm tab and then clicking on
12 hour clock button (or 24 hour)
There is a bug in Stopwatch. It seems that
if Countdown is in use and then use the Stopwatch
the Countdown works well but the Stopwatch acts strangely
with negative numbers.

Don, I've added this in the Index of programs using gtkdialog thread. But do you have any other programs which need to be added to it?
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

Hi, it is very important that the package 'puppy_clock-NLS-0.3.6.pet' be named:
puppy_clock_NLS-0.3.6.pet
An underscore is required before the NLS. This is the standard format that the Puppy Package Manager understands.
It doesn't matter if the packages are downloaded individually from the Puppy Forum, but if they get placed into a repo accessable via the Puppy Package Manager, then correct naming is important.
