PostPosted: Sun 15 Jul 2012, 01:12    Post subject:  adjustments to PuppyPin not saved-Pup529

I am running Puppy 529 using the JWM Desktop.

When I edit PuppyPin to change the position of several icons; after Restarting the X server, the icons return to their former position.

See the graphics in which:

PuppyPin1 is (a)before adjusting, (b)after adjusting, and Restarting the X server.

PuppyPin2 is as adjusted

How can I make the adjustment stick?

The sequence of graphics would be:
1st: PuppyPin1-before adjusting
2nd: PuppyPin2-after adjusting
3rd: PuppyPin1, again, is the condition-after Restarting the X server.

The answer to the second part of your question is obvious in the first post. The adjustments did not "stick".

Yeah, but you didn't confirm whether you tried my instructions..

What if you save your session before refiring X.. what then?

In the first post I said what I did..........

I, frankly, didn't realize your comments were "instructions".

I don't think that "What ifs" are what will solve the problem I described.

Anyway, thanks for your comments..........I think that we may be having language problems.
