#1 Post by starlyte »

I don't have sound, or even a snd puce registered.
Puppy216.1
Motherboard: MSI K9N6GM
Ndivia MCP61(P,S,V)
Audio: Realtek ALC888/883/861 (it's not precise on which one)
Is there a plugin available please?

Are you running an MSI Wind? I've got exactly the same issue, though other folks seem to have working sound.

No help, I know, but misery loves company. :(

Hi

as mentioned http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 276#640276

looking at the latest driver from Realtek looks like ALC861 is already included in ALSA under HD Audio codec. Answer questions at the above thread and I will try to help.
