Puppy 5.2.5 modeswitch? Sub_title: Can`t connect until I reboot. |
|
I think I may have a modeswitch problem. When I first boot up, the Internet Connection Wizard says no modem is found, and I can`t connect. However, if I then choose reboot, as opposed to power-off computer, the Wizard says modem found at ACM0, and I can connect just fine. I leave the USB modem, a Franklin U210 EVDO modem, always plugged in.

This is when I connect, after a reboot.

This pmodemdiag was made after booting up cold, with the modem plugged in, and after starting the Internet Connection Wizard. The Wizard said no modem was found at ttyACM0. So, to get online and post this I had to click reboot and wait, after which the Wizard said a modem was found at ttyACM0 and I connected with no problem. If I had clicked power-off computer and then booted, the Wizard would have found no modem, and the pmodemdiag would look like what I`m attaching here.
