PatriotOS Subject description: Based on Slacko 5.3.3 |
|
This one is for my countrymen; ironically we go on and on about freedom this and freedom that, but have yet to fully embrace open source software, so here is a red, white, and blue themed Slacko 5.3.3 based puplet. Features an eclectic mix of minimalistic Openbox, LxPanel, and Thunar File Manager. Plays the opening notes of The Star Spangled Banner on startup. Plays the closing notes on shutdown. Get it here:

Nice one
I 'm guessing you include QT libraries, the Bible Time icon gives that away
What else is included?

Can't wait to try this! Not sure how well I will like the Slacko base, as I tried it before, and didn't seem to like some of my hardware. Thanks, Rob
OK, tried it. Didn't realize it was based on Diamond OS. Not a fan of the split panels at bottom. I would much rather use a single LX Panel. Also, still doesn't work with my wireless. This is a problem with Slacko and Racy. Both see the network, but when I try to connect they don't work. Not a problem, though. Plenty of Puplets to choose from Good luck. I am sure plenty of others will try and like this. Loved the US theme! Thanks, Rob
