I am having a few problems with Python / Pygame. It was working fine, but then the next time I booted up nothing worked.
I've re-compiled it all and about to try again.
Also I am hoping to compile build mupdf (a fast pdf viewer).
I've been running the RPi through a nice 1080p tv this morning. It looks good.
EDIT
Here's a screen-shot: viewing "PracticalCommonLisp.pdf" with mupdf while I have a little play with hello-world in CommonLisp.
fun!

It's easy to compile zathura and it's very fast.
https://zathura.pwmt.org/
I made a GUI for it using gtkdialog.

Is anyone planning or is looking at gtkdialog C source code?
Any tips?

When building a time machine that is the normal starting point.

Why not have a look anyway?

Thought it would be nice to have a Life program on the Pi.
I've uploaded the binaries here.

Image of Sap6 Puppi from BarryK
I have changed the icons and JWM theme. Otherwise this is pretty much what boots to the Raspberry Pi powered desktop . . .
USB recognition and many other things awaiting debugging.

Sadly me and Shadow were unable to fix gtkdialog

gosh long time since I used the links browser . . .
Anyway it is working and I am posting from Sap6. The keyboard arrow keys are not working, (something I also noticed in Abiword). So am using the mouse to position the cursor . . .
You also get Geany and leafpad text editors - so that and Rox and a terminal and already feels at home. I may have to change the background image. Oh it may be childish but it makes me feel at home . . . come to think of it I am using a primitive Puppy with a Puppy menu and some of the Puppy programs running on ARM.
I say woof X 2
= woof woof

possibly a long shot for a working browser
http://puppylinux.info/topic/create-portable-linux-applications-easy-with-cde , guess try the skype there and see first?
then there is also portable opera?
edit : perhaps not, " After receiving the package, the user can
now run those same commands from within
the package on any modern x86-Linux
distro. "

OK had a go with the devx SFS but it crashed out at 40MB download and I am told I have no more room on my 4GB SD card.
Will delete file and see if I still have a working SD image . . .

That would be because you tried to download to the first partition, which is only 64MB.

Yes I am an embarrassment to the kennel.
The enclosed file is psync which sets the Puppy clock by linking from
time servers on the net.
This is taken straight from Slacko and may be of use. I have not modified.
If the clock is off by a series of hours, in the command line type:
Code: | sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata |
Not tried that in sap6 - but worked in Debian Squeeze and . . .
we probably don't need sudo
