problem booting from laptop with sata h/d

#1 Post by donaldd »

I'm fairly new to puppylinux have installed on usb unfortunately cannot boot from my ubuntu laptop with sata h/d's, no problem with eide. Usb cannot find puppy because it looks through the ext3 partitions on laptop sda1/6/7, it's really on sdb1. I've found a few mentions googling but no solution appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Go to this thread:

and download from Jesse's message his new initrd.gz for Puppy 2.02, substitute it for the one supplied, and see if that works. The architecture of this new initrd.gz is disclosed in the thread
