Shutdown features in Wary 5.3 stop working

Using Wary 5.3 on an old P4 laptop. I tried iceWM, decided I didn't like it and removed it. Now the Menu/Shutdown features won't work in JWM. Hate to have to do another reinstall. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks.

CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE

That got me back into JWM, but Shutdown still doesn't work. I've come to realize Wary and PL in general is way too unreliable.

At the prompt, type fixmenus
For more info type fixmenus -help
For a full list of all commands hit tab key twice
