Thanks for this

I feel that (if I had known what I know now) I would have started programming in Bash script and Tcl

That is what a large part of Puppy uses.
This is a good place to read up on tcl and get involved.

You lucky Pups.

PS. I am indeed crazy as you mention in another post.

I see penguins.

Supernotepad is a nice application, and very economical too. It is sort of self-installing once it has been unzipped.
There is a fund of TCL applications on the web that Pups should be aware of``. Should there be a wiki section that documents TCL apps. like this that have been tested to work with Puppy?

The wishconsole though is very buggy -- I tried it out on Puppy awhile back, emailed the author with a long list of bugs, never got a reply.

I did also take a brief look at the wish cd burner program awhile back ...can't recall exactly what my thoughts were ...think it was missing something that I wanted ...multi-session checkbox?

The good thing about tcl/tk it is very well documented and with a lot of searching and guidance from our peers on the forum we could have some very useful applications and be able to keep puppy weighing even less.
