I found tux paint as a pet and downloaded it. It wouldn't work, so I checked and it needed a dependency. I found that. Now I downloaded the extra stamps as a tar.gz. How do I get the stamps over to the program?
Pentium 3, 256 ram, puppy wary 5.2.2, old Dell laptop. Laptop runs great with puppy by the way.
How to open stamp files with Tux Paint?
according to there website-
1. go to stamp directory in ROX-filer
/usr/local/share/tuxpaint/stamps
or
/usr/share/tuxpaint/stamps
2. copy stamp file into directory or sub-directory
3. Restart Tux Paint
----
see
http://tuxpaint.org/docs/html/EXTENDING.html
----
Where the stamp directory is goes depends on what value was set for "DATA_PREFIX" when Tux Paint was built. See INSTALL.txt for details.
By default, though, the directory is:
/usr/local/share/tuxpaint/stamps
although it could be-
/usr/share/tuxpaint/stamps
All stamp-related files go in the "stamps" directory. It's useful to create subdirectories and sub-subdirectories there to organize the stamps. (For example, you can have a "holidays" folder with "halloween" and "christmas" sub-folders.)
