Sorry, couldn't install the package. Ran it okay but in PPM there are no new packages just an extra blank line. Looked in pup and no new drivers available either. I also tried uninstalling gutenprint and reinstalling the pet but still nothing
cheers

I just installed this package into several different Puppies, including Macpup 528. In each case there was an entry in the PPM for "Canon printer driver".
I then ran the CUPS wizard. Under Make/Model, there was a listing for the MX880.

Okay, either I'm doing something wrong or there is a conflicting package on my computer so I'll try it on a fresh install of macpup and get back to you.
PS just found out that email notifications wasn't checked in my preferences for this forum so from now on I should be able to get back to you quicker
Cheers

Try downloading the package to your home directory, then installing it from there. The correct size is 1775 K.

Sorry, no change. Just tried installing on a fresh install of Macpup and also tried your advice from the last post and still only get an extra blank line in PPM and no driver in cups. I'm guessing it must be my system and don't get me wrong I love Macpup but I've been having troubles from the start with Macpup from my wireless card, getting puppy to sleep and wake properly.
I'm happy just to use the Gutenprint driver however because I've received so mush help from these forums I am more than happy to be your guinea pig if you think it will help others.
Cheers

That's good news. There aren't many of these LBP models around in the community to provide testing.

The drivers listed below are my current attempt at merging some of the printer models defined from v2.50 - v2.70 into the v3.00 driver source. All drivers from v2.50 up-to v2.70 are gtk1 based and all drivers from v2.80 upwards are gtk2 based. Merging them should make our life simpler .....
Driver packages will be prepared only if there is a request for a particular model and also subject to time availability. No time frame is set for completion.
Please note that these packages should be considered to be preliminary tests drivers. Kindly report any issues that you may have when using these drivers. I will take note of the issues (if any) arising from these driver packages but please remember that I'm lame with C and a total klutz with GTK ..... debugging will take some time .....
Canon drivers merged into v3.00:
1. ip90 series download
2. ip1800 series download
3. ip2500 series download
4. ip3300 series download
5. ip4300 series download
6. mp160 series download
7. mp510 series download
8. mp600 series download
9. mp620 (stalled - no time frame set)
The IP90 is a dead link

Hey guys. I am trying to install to Puppy a Canon Mx320. Did not see in the CUPS wizard list. I tried installing an RPM but no go, thought it installed without error. Print job says complete but nothing printed. I must be missing something or doing something wrong.
I downloaded cnijfilter-mx320series-3.10-1-i386.rpm, and extracted with unrpm. Then I browsed to the ppd in the wizard to install. But I think there is another step I need to take? Newb sorry!

Here is a driver for your MX320. It will be listed in CUPS as a Canon MX320, not a Canon Pixma MX320.
This is a new package, so please provide feedback.
[Edit] Package removed. After several downloads, there were no reports. If anyone wants this driver, they can ask again.
