same with my repo at http://www.smokey01.com/ttuuxxx/
you get the software list, but when you click on a iso, it gives you a white screen and no download to be found.

new box (relatively anyway)
Finally got a replacement for one that was berked last year by a power spike! Payout from power co didn't allow a new box, but did allow a decent near-new to be purchased (with my first lcd screen).
Thought I'd try something puppy modern on it and cd'd Saluki 10.
These are my initial comments, don't take them to heart, there just observations and comments.
Boot and startup was ok,
-however it did try to setup the screensize one size larger than was good for optimum viewing, 1600x1200 on a 17"screen is a little tight even if the screen can take it, maybe there needs to be either a table that reads the monitor's screensize and sets the default down a step or two or alternately have the default set at 1024x768 for all and let users change this upwards (as they can) in the startup settings.
-nice idea / like the boxes down the rhs showing storage devices connected, however do wonder if they should only show removable devices (cd/dvd, memsticks, etc) and not individual hard drive partitions, only the saluki, grub and swap are there so far. If I had my external drive stack (connects via a usb2 port) plugged in I suspect it would have either crashed or taken a lot of time as there are 63 stacked partitions on it.
- installed frugal cleanly and it did put grub in the propper place first time.
- did a savefile on reboot, but had to create a new config on re-startup (no cd in drive). I thought this problem had been sorted out back in 525/528?
-will test further and report if problems are found.
-if you / anyone are / is considering playing with ppm, the 'check dependancies installed packages' part, it needs some work, i've filled two columns with apps and it's overflowed again (barry did a fix last time to go from one to two columns). My sugestion what would be better is one column with a scroll bar, then we should never have a limit problem.

I have always had trouble with these bright themes, but I see that they works well for people living under other light-conditions that me. During the summer when daylight is strong, a bright theme works very well. - But you seldom find me by the computer then.....Sage wrote:Default theme far too bright - expect burnt out pixels. Black is always best for screen longevity and power saving.

Ran from the live dvd with a savefile
Ethernet connected OK, so was able to download a bigger browser
Before I forget the burner software (for ISO and other formats) works well on ISO
I find not being able to mount drives by clicking on them is not intuitive.
Also on the PPM maybe SFS select (which means nothing to end users)
could be called 'Quick Select'?
Found myself back in JWM

Hi jemimah,
Still no success with my laptop, same symptoms as before with 010. There is definitely a problem with both the intel and vesa drivers. I have LHP-64 514, Fatdog 64, Exprimo 013, Racy, and Slacko's latest all working fine on this laptop which is only a few months old.
Attached is sys-info report generated by LHP which provides more detail about the hardware.
Frugal installation of 010 worked great on my desktop with a NVIDIA card. Will test 011 on it soon.
Cheers,
Jim

It is probably as suggested above, that this kernel is too old for your graphics card.
My laptop is similar, and am using one of pemasu's 3.1 kernels - but I am finding it really unstable.
I'm not sure if the broadcom module loading problem is fixed yet. If so we can try a newer kernel at some point.

It would appear that GConf-323-i486.pet is not in the official repo. Only the DEV is.
Is it possible to cancel an sfsget download? In a case of a slow connection or a mistake for example.
Also When called from PPM, PPM is not usable till it finishes.

I will work on sfsget some more.
