the iso files for barebones of puppy one and two are missing http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Barebones anyone have an up to day link? What is the lowest spec machine people have got puppy going on?

I've got a copy of Puppylite 2 - in fact I've resurrected it and am using it right now (although it loaded my MeanPup savefile). When I get it uploaded somewhere I'll let you know. Here is some info: ISO size: 56mb kernel 2.6.16.7 JWM 1.7 Browser: Dillo 0.8.6-il8n-misc Other software includes: AbiWord 2.4.1 Leafpad ML tcl/tk code editor Geany 0.7 MP 3.3.7 GTKSee 0.6.0-Beta Image manager mtPaint 2.20 uxplor 0.26 MToolsFM 1.9-3 gxine 0.4.6 xtmix 0.4 (sound mixer) XfreeCD 0.9.0.1 CD player greyboard (network blackboard) |

Minipup here is based on 2.01R which will run speedily in pentium II PCs. (Safepup, which you will see there, is based on 2.13, wifi-ready.) The early GTK version of pre-2.13/2.14 puppy makes them fast in old PCs. _________________ Puppy user since Oct 2004. Want FreeOffice? Get the sfs (English only). |
