open source body parts-
Genetic experts are opening up the human genome for submissions. It is hoped that the next generation of bedroom hackers will able to fully integrate with ARM technology.

Locally here in Sweden them sell Archos 101 which is a Tablet.
I trust them have ARM on them. Would that allow me to run
Debian on it? Maybe one have to "jailbreak" it first?

But I don't trust that I am patient enough to learn all the details
to do such things but them are very affordable compared to Samsung
and other brands.

By pressing I agree, I hereby acknowledge that:

1. Installing the Special Developer Edition firmware is considered by ARCHOS as a voiding of the warranty and ARCHOS declines all liability or responsibility for any issues resulting from installing this Special Developer Edition firmware.
Yes indeed. Them don't like that one play outside their box.
But cool that it is possible.

Haha I came too late. I should have set the alarm to 30 or 45
minutes before now it is already Server break down. Can't reach server
times out.

Ooops finally I am in but seems to be a redirected or something.
They affirm that they got totally swamped and wants us to look at
Twitter instead? http://twitter.com/raspberry_pi

But there is only noise from 24.000 followers. Not anything from RPi?

On the redirected or special made alternative site message it says

"We've temporarily changed to a static site,
while we're experiencing a very high level of traffic
for the launch of the Raspberry Pi.
The full site will return once traffic levels have subsided,
hopefully later on today.

For up-to-the-minute news on what's happening, follow
@Raspberry_Pi on Twitter1. 1(Only until about 6pm GMT, though,
because we’re all going to the pub after that!)"

That where a too English text for me to get. Sorry

So if I get it at all. They have 10.000 to sell soon?
But they have 24.000 followers on Twitter. So suppose 50% of them
buy one then there is none for me to buy :)

They will make use of these partners.

"Although we are still waiting for units to arrive from China, you can start buying the Raspberry Pi today. We have entered into licensed manufacture partnerships with two British companies,

Premier Farnell and RS Components.

They’ll be manufacturing and distributing the devices on behalf of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, and handling the distribution of our first batches as they arrive in the country."

From the Forum:

Re: Pre-Order from US?

Hello,

I work at the sales center for Newark/Element 14 in the Americas. Hopefully I can clear some of the confusion about the orders coming from Farnell in the UK. This will pertain to the US.

The part is distributed from the UK currently. So as you see it on our site, there is a $20 handling fee which covers any and all fees associated with getting that part from the UK to your doorstep in about 7 business days in the US only (once item is available). You are paying for dropship service from overseas.

If you don't want to pay the $20, then you have the option of calling sales at 800.463.9275 and placing the order over the phone. *NOTE- doing this will extend your delivery by 2-3 weeks and you will be charged for whichever shipping method you choose ie Ground, 2nd Day, Next Day, etc. as the item will then be shipped by boat to our US warehouse.

The reason the Canadian site doesn't show the $20 is because Canadian orders from the UK usually have to go through our US warehouse first (and adds that 2-3 week delivery time).

So in summary the handling fee is the shipping fee. And you are paying for an expedited method of shipping from overseas. Hope this helps.

For toolchains and such, I'd look / ask in the openwrt / dd-wrt / gargoyle groups, they do it all the time for new wifi gear.
