wbar and missing dependencies

#1 Post by telltom »

In Slacko 5.3.1 i downloaded the wbar from ppm. wbar 2.2.2. it's missing dependency, jacklibavxxx 5250portaudio v41l-vtils.
I don't know where to get it or what to do with it if i find it? thanks

nope, wbar only depends on imlib2 (if you don't have it type "imlib2" in PPM search bar), those other deps belong to guvcview web cam app.

A different wbar without any dependencies is located at

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... ges-lucid/

name is wbar_with_Setup-1.3.3-Lucid.pet.CD1

It works well in lucid 528, luci 529, Slacko 5.3 and 5.3.1

I use it daily

Listing is not alphabetical

. . . now confirm working in 5.3.1
(took me awhile) Wbar has quite a few fonts (not really required)
- the Puppy set up is great. :)

Wbar is putting a ghost bar bottom of the screen, whilst I wanted it at the top only. Also it turned off my desktop icons.
Those desktop icons can be turned back on (in Puppy 5.3.1) with:
Menu/Desktop/Desktop templates . . . :)
