mlocate is a new locate implementation. The ‘m’ stands for “merging”: updatedb reuses the existing database to avoid rereading most of the file system, which makes updatedb faster and does not trash the system caches as much.

Installation:
After installation of mlocate open terminal and enter
Code:
addgroup mlocate


Usage
Code:
updatedb
updates the database

Code:
locate SEARCHTERM
to search the "searchterm"

In order to compile claws-mail 3.7.10 ( http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=73939 )
and all its dependencies; compiled on racy 5.2.2

It is easy to locate files with it, and for me quicker to enter in the terminal instead of using the great find command.

I hope this package is also useful to someone else.
