Follow my instructions in this post.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=507990#507990
To make a new folder open rox file manager , right click in a open spot and select new then directory. Using my install guide you will need to open rox, then click the up arrow once to exit the root folder. Then click on the usr folder. In /usr make a new folder called java. When you download the self extractingfile it will be in /root open rox there then open rox again and go to /usr/java then drag and drop from the rox in /root to the one in /usr/java . Finnish following my guide.

Subject description: Using Firefox Desktopfreeze |
|
Hi folks !
Reported a while ago about problems using firefox 7 and 8 . Use Macpup on a Usb Stick.
While surfing internet with Firefox sooner or later, after a while, Mouse and Desktop freezes and no keyboard response. (Have to force shutdown interrupting Battery power supply).
Changed to Opera browser. Never ever experienced this ugly effect with Opera.
I am also using DpupExprimo with Firefox on Usb stick.
Never ever experienced this ugly effect with Firefox on DpupEXprimo.
Seems to be somehow specific this combination Firefox - Macpup.
Not really a problem because Opera does a good job too.
Just makes me curious.
It just somehow makes me wonder.
Maybe anybody else experienced this effect too?
Maybe some idea?
PS Macpup is a beautiful distro. Like it!

Backi, MP528 has been out since 9/17 and was tested for several weeks before that.It has been downloaded thousands of times. I haven't had another report like yours from anyone else.
Diamond if you have any other java.pets of .sfs installed remove them. Then delete /usr/java and reboot to make sure it gone and then start over with a fresh download of the jre-6u29-linux-i586.bin file.

Could you repeat that How to : Java and Flash, at puppylinux.info
both use bbPress, so should copy/paste,
...and maybe a bit more info about macpup, too?
thanks
