Puppy 528 can't hear Radio NZ WMA adaptive

#1 Post by GullyProber »

Dear Beem and the gang - its always such a pleasure to try another puppy in the morning and I was so excited by the latest update of 528 - however, I can hear the BBC with Flash, but cant get it to handle Radio NZ which is wma adaptive. Havent a clue what to do next. Puppy 525, Lighthouse 503G, Wary5.0 all handle it ok. I click the link but nothing proceeds.

Thank you all again for what you do to keep Puppy going.

It's always interesting to reference the link in such cases of problem.
I found one for Newzealand radio, but don't know if its the one you use.
I can hear the radio stream in pemasu's exprimo 5.X.10.2
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

Thank you, Beem: the link for Radio NZ International is:
http://www.radionz.co.nz/audio/live/rnzi/adaptive.asx
It is for WMA, and adapts to the bandwidth available to the listener.
I am puzzled because 520 and some earlier Puppies have no problems, so I hope this is not a new change.
Many thanks to all for the wonderful Puppies. I too am glad Mr Murga is back, by the way.
:P

Using Puppy 528 with 002 update.
In Firefox 7.0
I am listening to your link now with no problem.
The audio player did need to load up cache to about 19% before it would start playing the audio stream.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
